Meet the Archivist
The Eye Behind the Collection
The Archivist is the curator, caretaker, and guiding hand behind Maison du Corbeau. With a background rooted in art history, education, and independent creative work, the Archivist approaches curation as both scholarship and intuition.
Every object in the Maison is selected through a process of research, reflection, and relationship. Context matters. Story matters. How something is made, and who made it, matters.
Gathering with Intention
The Archivist does not collect endlessly. Objects are gathered slowly, often after long consideration, conversation with makers, and time spent understanding how a piece wants to be used.
This role is not about prediction or authority. It is about offering guidance, framing choices, and creating a space where others feel safe to explore.
The Archivist’s voice is present throughout the Maison, but never demanding. It exists to support, not direct.
Letters & Notes
Through the Archivist’s Letters and Notes, reflections are shared weekly. These writings may include education, ritual suggestions, symbolism, or moments of pause. They are offered as gifts, not instructions. Learning is meant to feel invitational, not overwhelming.
